BW to Color

Image
Original Selfie: Monochromatic: Triad: Analogous: This project assignment was exciting and different. This is not what I expected to do in Photoshop, but it was really cool. It took me a while to understand how to complete this assignment because there were many videos and different steps. It took me a lot of patience and concentration, but after I was done with the first colored one, the other two were not that bad at all. I think I did a good job, and I am happy with my results. I chose my colors from the analogous, triad, and monochromatic. I did not even know these things existed, but I am happy that now I know! I am excited to see my classmate's projects and see what everyone chose to do. My favorite is the monochromatic one because the colors really compliment each other, and it looks the most natural. The other ones are a little bit too intense for me, but still, look really nice.

Tag Brush

This is the final product:  My black and white: Other:  The spray I chose:  I am thrilled with the way my final product came out. Once I added the different colors, it has so much life to it. I decided to add many different colors to the final one because I wanted to see what they all looked like. My favorite one is the big blue one because it resembles the ocean around my surfboard. I love the idea of making this tag brush project for our logo, we will able to stamp on it on all our work, and that is so personal and unique. If we did not complete this assignment in class, I would have probably struggled with it a little bit because there were many steps for things I have never done before. I am happy we completed this in class because my professor helped us along the way!

Three Photoshop Videos

First video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAmSB5MQxOo This video showed me that to create a new document, you have to press command N. If you double-click the background, you can make it into a new one where you can edit it. You can make different groups of layers, which is pretty cool. You can click and drag an image into the screen and scale it how you want. If you hold control, you can change the angles of the picture. You can change the hues, which changes the colors, and there are many options. It is easy to add blur or pixels to the image you are working on. Vibrance and saturation are very different. If you do not want to make people seem orange, you can change the vibrance but not the saturation. If you save as a PSD, all the layers and edits save altogether.  Second video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpHiWOBQ4dM Adjustment layers can be changed at any time, and it is easy to edit them and add and delete things. You can use hue saturation to color the water. A layer ma

Propaganda

Image
This is my final project: Here is the picture of myself for it: My inspiration:  I decided to do something regarding COVID-19 because it is a genuine issue in the world right now. Many people do not follow the rules, and this results in the pandemic lasting longer. If we all followed the rules, kept six feet apart, wore our masks indoors and even outdoors, and stayed home whenever necessary, our situation would be doing much better than what it actually is. People seem to have forgotten the reality of the world and are acting as if nothing matters anymore. I hope that my poster inspires people to "just wear it" because that is the least they can do. I think I did an excellent job because my propaganda looks like the picture my roommate took of me. I did the word "wear" in a different color, so it stands out. I also got inspired by Nike because they say, "just do it." It should not be that complicated to follow the rules and do what is right. I know we can

Logo

Image
Here are my five mood boards:  Here are my five sketches for the possible logo:  I decided to go with the adventurous logo and here is how it turned out: I chose to create this logo for myself because I am a very adventurous person; I love traveling, exploring new places, trying new things, challenging myself, and taking risks. I always say to people that we only have one life, so why not try to do as many things as possible, at least even once. This summer, I learned how to surf for the first time, and I also caught my first fish. I was very proud of myself for accomplishing these new things, especially for learning how to surf. This is something I have wanted to do for years, so it was a dream come true. The logo I made for myself is of a surfboard in the middle of the ocean with some waves because I also really love the ocean and feel very connected to it. I decided to add half a sun at the top to complete it because the sun is also special to me. I think it is cool how wherever you

Calligram

Image
Final Project: Artist Statement: I decided to create a Calligram using my favorite letter, "A." The words inside the "A" consist of a letter I wrote to my future self 20 years from now. At first, I thought I would use a palm tree for this project, but then I decided that I would suffice with this letter because it is very special to me. My name starts with an "A," and I like how it is the alphabet's first letter. I also like the idea of this letter because since I am writing this letter to myself, and I am "A," it will be cute when in 20 years, I read this and see it inside an A because it will be my past self who wrote it and my future self reading it, but the same person. I decided to add something special and make every word that starts with an "a" be a different color, so they stand out, and whenever I wrote my name, I made them pink, so that stands out even more. To create this, I used the compound path tool to be able to writ
